Muhammad Nurul Islam
Muhammad Nurul Islam is a PhD student at the University of Houston whose research interests include Environmental Humanities, Postcolonial Literature, and South Asian Fiction. He is particularly interested in South Asian anglophone novels of the 21st century and their econarratives. Also, he is interested in translation studies: theories and practices. He often translates English into the Bengali language. He has also presented his papers at conferences in the USA, Poland, Italy, and Bangladesh. Along with academic writings, he considers himself a poet by commitment who writes Bengali poetry for social and environmental justice for both "imagined and unimagined" communities.
