Neighbor of the Moon: Fairouz as a National Arab Icon

Reserve tickets while you can for our Annual Paul Kardoush Memorial Endowed Lecture, "Neighbor of the Moon: Fairouz as a National Arab Icon," on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at the Student Center Theater on UH's campus. Doors will open at 6:15 PM for a reception where light refreshments will be served; the lecture and musical performance will begin at 7:00 PM.
This will be a very special night honoring one of the Arab world's most treasured musical icons. Ethnomusicologist Dr. Loab Hammoud will deliver a lecture on the significance of Fairouz's music, followed by a live musical performance featuring singer Liliane Kheirbek.
