UH Vice President For Student Affairs and Enrollment Services Elected to APLU Student Affairs Executive Committee

Dr. Richard Walker, Vice Chancellor for Students Affairs and Enrollment Services for the University of Houston System and Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment Services at the University of Houston, has been elected to serve on the Association of Public Land-Grant Universities (APLU) Council on Student Affairs (CSA) Executive Committee.

The CSA is comprised of senior student affairs or student life officers at member institutions and university systems who provide forums for the discussion and dissemination of information on issues related to the college student experience. The CSA advocates within APLU and works cooperatively with other councils and commissions to enhance institutional effectiveness and the student experience in the areas of co-curricular opportunities; personal and professional growth; learning, progress, and completion; mental and physical health and wellness; and/or fundamental needs such as housing, financial aid, transportation, and/or dining.

During his three-year term on the Executive Committee, Dr. Walker will assist with the oversight of activities of the CSA, assist in the organization of activities held during the APLU Annual Meeting and CSA Summer Forum, and assist with outreach and engagement efforts for new CSA members.
