UH Health Center Welcomes New Associate Director and Administrative Assistant to their Team

As the fall semester comes to a close, the UH Health Center is excited to announce the addition of Rodrick Jordan and Mary Gibson to their team.

Rodrick Jordan serves as the new Associate Director of the UH Health Center and will report to Dr. Vanessa Tilney, Executive Director/Chief Physician. Jordan has been in the public health environment for 20 years and has worked at several institutions including M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Texas Children’s Pediatrics, Memorial Hermann Medical Group, Tenet Physician’s Resources, and a Federal Community Health Center.

Rodrick will assist with operational, business, and financial functions including fiscal and budget management, reporting, payroll, and human resource processes. Rodrick holds an undergraduate degree in Biology Pre-Med and a Masters degree in Public Health with a concentration in Health Care Administration from Jackson State University.

Mary Gibson is the new Administrative Assistant for the UH Health Center and has over 25 years of experience providing administrative support at senior management levels in corporate settings. Under the direction of Dr. Vanessa Tilney, Mary will be responsible for all administrative functions in the Health Center including managing calendars, creating and distributing reports, and handling property management service requisitions.

Mary has earned the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) designation, one of the most prestigious designations offered to administrative professionals, and is committed to taking the time and effort to maintain her designation. She is very passionate about her job and has a serious commitment and dedication to the profession.
