Hope Pacheco, Dean of Students case manager was selected to participate in the 2018 NASPA Escaleras Institute – Latinx/a/o Student Affairs Professionals Scaling New Heights in Leadership held in San Diego last month.

The Institute offers an intensive, challenging, and collegial learning environment for Latinx/a/o student affairs professionals as they develop culturally relevant leadership skills that leverage their unique ethnic heritages and histories.

Pacheco said, “Attending the Escaleras Institute was such an amazing experience. It was an honor to be selected and a privilege to be surrounded by other Latino/a Student Affairs colleagues and mentors from all over the country exploring our cultural identities, sharing our experiences while focusing on our leadership development. I left inspired, empowered and affirmed as a Latinx Student Affairs professional.”
