The Division of Student Affairs is proud to announce Cassandra Joseph as the new director of the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life (CFSL) at the University of Houston (UH). Cassandra was appointed to lead the center and provide students with relationships that will last beyond their college experience and enhance their personal, social, and moral development while impacting their greater campus and local community. Cassandra said, “I’m honored to continue serving the UH fraternity and sorority community as the Director for Fraternity and Sorority Life. I hope to empower the team to continue the work of the department's mission and vision. I’m looking forward to providing meaningful experiences for our chapter leaders, building, and increasing relationships with alumni, campus partners, and stakeholders. In addition, I will work to enhance the fraternity and sorority community to increase our reach, visibility, and unity between all councils.”
Cassandra received her Master of Science (M.S) from Texas A&M University in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education and her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in English and Speech Communication from Sam Houston State University. Cassandra has 21 years of experience in Student Affairs with 19 years of direct experience with fraternity and sorority life. She started her journey at the University of Houston in May 2005 as an Activities Coordinator for Campus Activities and currently serves as the Assistant Director for the Center of Fraternity and Sorority Life. Cassandra has been part of the CFSL team since it was established in 2010. During her time with the Center for Fraternity & Sorority Life, Cassandra has had an opportunity to advise all five councils, leading the efforts to bring one of those councils to campus, reestablishing and advising Order of Omega, and has created numerous programs and policies that have helped support and develop the Greek community at the University of Houston. Cassandra is committed to the well-being of the students she works with, providing a sense of belonging for them, and gives her all to ensure students have a fulfilling experience during their undergraduate years.
"We are thrilled to welcome Cassandra Joseph as our new Director of the Center for Fraternity and Sorority Life. With Cassandra’s wealth of experience and passion for fostering a vibrant Greek community, we are confident that she will lead our fraternity and sorority life initiatives with dedication, creativity, and a commitment to student success.
