Lesli Vollrath teaches the Human Situation course as well as courses for the medicine and society minor. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in English from the University of Houston, where she also earned a certificate in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies. She specializes in 19th century American women’s writing, and her research interests also include environmental humanities, critical theory, and body studies.
