Suspicious Activity - Case #25-0797

UHPD searched the General Services building and the immediate surrounding area and determined that the area is safe to resume normal operations. UHPD will continue to investigate.

    Synopsis: UHPD received reports of a light skin black male or Hispanic, wearing a dark hoodie and blue jeans with a black semi-automatic handgun outside the General Services Building. Please avoid area until further notice.

    Suspect #1: light skin black male or Hispanic, wearing dark hoodie, blue Jeans

    Weapon: Black Semi-Automatic Handgun

  • University of Houston SECURITY ALERT

    Today at approximately 3pm, Eric Brown, accused of sexually assaulting a UH student at knifepoint on 2/7/25, was arrested at the Texas St. and St. Emanuel St. intersection near downtown. Brown was riding the METROrail when a civilian recognized him.

    CORRECTION

    Synopsis: 

    A member of the UH community (complainant) reported to UHPD on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at approximately 9:15 PM, while at Metro bus stop #11424, which is located south of University Drive on Martin Luther King Blvd, in front of the Welcome Center, he was approached by four suspects. One of the suspects displayed a silver semi-automatic pistol and demanded the complainant’s cell phone. The complainant complied without resistance and handed over the phone. The suspects were described as one male and three females. They were last seen leaving the location on foot, heading southbound on Martin Luther King Blvd.The complainant was not injured.

    Suspect #1: Black female, about 5'5", 16-20 years old, black hoodie with camo design on the back

    Suspect #2: Black male, about 6'0", skinny build, 16-20 years old, black hoodie, black pants, no visible tattoos or facial hair

    Suspect #3: Black female, about 5'5", 16-20 years old, wearing dark purple or black clothing

    Suspect #4: Black female, about 5'5", 16-20 years old, wearing dark colored or black clothing

    Weapon: Silver semi-automatic handgun

    Vehicle: None observed

    Synopsis:
