Welcome to the latest edition of Provost Profiles! In this new video, you’ll meet a legitimate Super Coog.
Cole Woody isn’t faster than a speeding bullet or able to leap buildings in a single bound, but the junior biology student in UH’s College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics is doing truly tremendous work on campus and at the Texas Medical Center.
You may have seen the recent news that Woody is part of a research team at MD Anderson Cancer Center studying the COVID vaccine’s effects on cancer immunotherapy. He’s also been recognized with prestigious honors such as the Barry Goldwater Scholarship and the Phi Beta Kappa Key into Public Service. These are just a few of his remarkable undergraduate achievements!
Woody will be the first to admit that he’s no superhero, but his academic journey was inspired by a childhood interest in the “X-Men” movies.
But don’t take my word for it! Hear from Woody himself in this month’s episode of Provost Profiles.
Respectfully,
Diane Z. Chase
