Terry Thomas is a Career Development Specialist dedicated to supporting students majoring in Education, Human Services, and Health Sciences – Pre-Health. She partners with both current students and alumni to help them successfully prepare for careers and graduate school.

Terry provides individualized guidance to address a variety of career-related needs, including resume and cover letter development, interviewing and employability skills, job and internship search strategies, graduate school planning, mock interviews, and career exploration through interest assessments. Her goal is to equip students with the tools and confidence needed to achieve their professional aspirations.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. Terry holds two master’s degrees from Prairie View A&M University: a Master of Arts in Counseling with certifications in School Guidance Counseling and Vocational Career Technical Education Counseling (CTE), and a Master of Education Administration with a specialization in Leadership. She also earned her teaching certification in Health Science Technology (CTE) from the University of Houston main campus.

Terry has taught allied health courses at both the high school and collegiate levels and has supervised diverse students in practicum and clinical rotations across multiple healthcare facilities. Through mentorship, professional guidance, and real-world preparation, she has helped students successfully transition into careers within the health sciences.
