HR Recruitment team at the Tulsa School Job Fair!

Our HR Recruitment Team attended the Tulsa School Job Fair, where they met with over 40 students that were eager in exploring career opportunities in HVAC, Electrical, and Journeyman trades.

On-Campus Mammography Screenings!

During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HR POWER UP Employee Wellness hosted The Rose to provide on-campus mammography screenings for eligible employees. This year a total of 57 registered to receive 3D mammography exams during a two day screening blitz. Each year more and more women avail themselves of this annual onsite service.

UH Day at the Corp 5k!

HR along with over 100 UH Faculty & Staff came together to participate as Team UH for "UH Day at the Corp 5k." This year, thanks to Team UH members, the University won the Top Participating Education Company Award! Coordinated by the HR POWER UP Employee Wellness, 2024 marks the 8^th consecutive year the University has participated in this fun annual employee wellness event!

Human Resources hosted its annual TRS and ERS retirement seminars for Faculty and Staff. We are thrilled to report that this year’s annual retirement seminar was a huge success! This conveys the excitement Faculty & Staff had about the in-person engagement and educational opportunity.

2024 CUPA-HR Annual Conference and Expo!

We’re excited to share that our Human Resources Executive team recently participated in the 2024 CUPA-HR Annual Conference and Expo! They presented to a large audience of higher education HR professionals on the topic of "Using AI to Create Professional Development Content." The session showcased an innovative approach to integrating AI tools into learning and development programs, specifically highlighting how UH leverages AI to design and deliver training videos for busy staff and executives. This dynamic presentation emphasized the importance of accessible training solutions in today’s fast-paced environment.

HR's Impact on Student Success!

The Talent Development team has been going beyond staff professional development, and helping our students get a head start on their interpersonal communication skills. Senior Talent Development Specialist Vivian LoDuca has been offering one-hour DISC workshops to Student Ambassadors every semester since spring of 2022. During these meetings, students learn about their own communication style, as well as how to tailor their styles to communicate more effectively. Go Coogs!

On-campus Catapult Preventive Health Check-ups

Preventive Health Check-ups for eligible BCBSTX HealthSelect members will be offered on campus 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, April 7, 8 & 9, in the Student Center South, Heights Room 224. Considered preventive care, these health check-ups will provide you with measurements related to your heart health and more. Mobile Mammography Screenings

On-campus Mobile Mammography Screenings make it easy to receive your annual exam! Provided by The Rose, screenings will be offered on Monday, April 14, 9:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m in their mobile unit on the main campus in Lot 19F between the Power Plant and Technology Annex (near the M.D. Anderson Library). Safeguard your well-being and receive your reward! Are you familiar with the Fitness Release Time and Wellness Leave Policy, MAPP 02 .02 .0 8? Visit your PCP for a ROUTINE PHYSICAL EXAM and complete a simple online health assessment, and you could receive one full day off from work! To learn more and apply for your 8 hours of Wellness Leave or participate in Fitness Release Time (30 minutes, 3x/weekly to exercise), visit the POWER UP Wellness Policies tab and follow the instructions.

This training equips hiring managers with the skills and techniques needed to conduct effective and structured interviews. Participants will learn how to craft and ask the right types of questions to uncover a candidate’s qualifications, potential, and fit. 2025 UPCOMING CDD TRAINING WORKSHOPS

Coaching, Documentation, and Discipline (CDD) Training Workshop is designed for those in managerial roles to be able to effectively develop their employees through coaching, management, and when applicable, discipline. This course will also provide tools to learn and review how to navigate the Progressive Discipline Process, as well as completing appropriate documentation.
