Visiting Scholar Position
The WGSS Program offers a Visiting Scholar Position that we commonly refer to as the WGSS postdoc. The Visiting Scholar may have earned a PhD in any discipline but is working on a research topic concerning women, gender, and/or sexuality studies.
The scholar will devote a portion of their time at UH to teaching and program development (such as connecting with students, coordinating relevant community events and sharing their expertise) and the remainder of their time to research and writing. The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for an additional year. The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree at the time of the appointment.
