Stay Cougar S.A.F.E!
Stay Cougar S.A.F.E. referred to as the “headquarters for all things safety at the University of Houston,” is an on-campus initiative that provides engagement and an online hub of safety resources including UHPD, Office of Emergency Management, Environmental Health and Safety, Fire and Life Safety, Parking and Transportation, Automotive and Fleet Management, Risk Management.

Accessibility Emergency Preparedness Resources
The Accessibility Emergency Preparedness Resources page helps individuals with disabilities to strive to be as prepared as possible by creating a personal emergency plan and educating themselves about emergency procedures before an emergency happens. They can also follow the general guidance also contained on the Be Prepared webpage.
UH Alert Emergency Notification System
UH ALERT is the official emergency notification system for the University of Houston. It is one of multiple methods the University uses to provide prompt notification in the event of a condition that may threaten the health or safety of the campus community.
Security Escorts
The Security Escort service is designed for community members who have safety concerns and would like to have a security officer walk with them as they travel through campus. Based on availability, either a UHPD Security Officer or Police Officer will escort students, faculty and staff to locations beginning and ending on campus.
UH Go App
The UH Go App is your fast pass to everything UH including staying safe on campus. The UH GO Emergency Call feature allows you to share your location so UH Police know exactly where you are. Help is just a tap away.
Sexual Misconduct Support Services
Staff at Sexual Misconduct Support Services (SMSS) at the Women and Gender Resource Center can assist faculty and staff with emotional support, safety planning, understanding the reporting process, and getting connected to resources on or off campus. This confidential resource offers support to those that have been impacted by any form of sexual misconduct including sexual assault, sexual harassment, stalking and intimate partner violence. Additionally, SMSS staff can confidentially assist anyone who identifies as a victim/survivor as well as individuals who have been alleged/accused to have caused harm.
