UHCOP Welcomes New, Golden Coogs
College Bestows 108 Pharm.D., 22 M.S. and Ph.D. Degrees for 2016-17 Academic Year, Golden Cougar Status to Class of 1967
UH College of Pharmacy bestowed 108 Pharm.D., 14 Ph.D. and seven M.S. degrees earned during the 2016-17 academic year — as well as recognized members of the college's Class of 1967 as Golden Cougars — at the May 11 Graduation Convocation at UH's Cullen Performance Hall.
The 2017 class included 23 members of the Rho Chi Pharmacy Honor Society and 20 member of the Phi Lambda Sigma Pharmacy Leadership Society as well as four students graduating Summa Cum Laude (3.90-4.0 Grade Point Average [GPA]), 11 students graduating Magna Cum Laude (3.7-3.89 GPA) and 20 students graduating Cum Laude (3.50-3.69 GPA).
Also recognized at the event in honor of their 50th anniversary of their graduation from the college were Mr. Thomas N. Cammack Jr., Ms. Edna G. Houston, Mr. Royce E. Jackson, Mr. Charles E. Janak, Mr. Raul Martinez Jr., Mr. Ramiro Perez and Dr. Jerry A. Thiem.
