Last week, UH launched its first “CEO Squaretable” event, a new program designed to bring startups at UH together to share ideas, challenges and solutions with other members of the community.
“We’re excited to see our startups come together to share their operational challenges as well as practical knowledge gained, such as how to build relationships to access university resources,” said Ryan Black, program director in the Office of Technology Transfer and Innovation. “Our startup leaders understand the great benefit in partnering with the university, but they realize too that there’s a great amount of work to be done to grow this community.”
The group will be working to help identify ways the university can better support its startup community such as improving ways of recruiting UH talent, reducing administrative burden and exploring resources to help companies market themselves.
CEO Squaretable is held the first Friday of every month at noon at the UH Innovation Center. The event is open to leaders of UH startups, as well as university leaders who are looking to connect with UH startups or has a desire to help build the bridge between the startup community and the university.
Some of the many benefits for startups housed at the UH Technology Bridge is access to the university community, campus resources and special programming developed for the innovation ecosystem.
