UH-DGH Center for Hydrocarbons Exploration Symposium - Evaluation of the Andaman and Mahanadi/Bengal Basins Dec. 8, 2023 | 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM
Hybrid Symposium, In-Person and Virtual Attendance
Overview:
Join UH Energy and DGH India for an in-depth review of current University of Houston research on the Andaman and Mahandi/Bengal basins and its implications for hydrocarbon potential. By reevaluating the gravity and magnetics and tying in the regional seismic a new interpretation of the tectonic setting has been developed. In the Andaman Basin many tectonic features have been identified and the distribution of sub-basins has been evaluated. These basin settings are compared to adjacent producing areas in Indonesia and Myanmar for their similarities and differences.
