The scope of this invention is on significantly reducing the processing time needed for manufacturing of second-generation (20) high temperature superconducting (HTS) tape. Manufacturing of 20 HTS tapes involves about 11 process steps and several more testing steps. This invention is on elimination of one process step as well as reducing the process time for another process by half. This invention has not only benefits on higher throughput but also, a potentially higher manufacturing yield.
