SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ESTIMATING A NERVOUS SYSTEM STATE BASED ON MEASUREMENT OF A PHYSIOLOGICAL CONDITION

The invention proposes a system that can utilize single/multi-channel skin conductance recording from a human user for robust inference of the autonomic nervous system activations. The system is composed of collection of wearable/ devices for placing multiple skin conductance sensors in different locations of the body, a signal acquisition system, a powering unit, signal storage system, communication link, signal processors, novel physiological system modelling, novel scalable computational methods for inference of sparse pulsatile activation of the autonomic nervous system in real-time. The invention is an apparatus to obtain an accurate timing and amplitude information about the autonomic nervous system activation which can be used in a wide variety of applications.
