SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR CONTINUOUS, ACTIVE, AND NON-INTRUSIVE USER AUTHENTICATION
This intellectual property (PAN authentication) leverages bone-conduction and bone-conduction’s crosstalk effects for user authentication. It adopts probabilistic probe signals to actively sense the binaural channel while keeping non-intrusive to users by operating in inaudible bands. This authentication is secure and convenient for achieving a high success rate in noisy/malicious environments while requiring no user’s efforts to complete the authentication process. Therefore, PAN authentication applies to VR/AR systems or even military helmets to enhance their access security.
