Career Highlights:

Agustín Vallejo is a research assistant professor at the Hobby School of Public Affairs, where he teaches linear and nonlinear regression, qualitative response regression models and other methods needed for policy research and a successful career in public service. Vallejo has worked as a post-doctoral research fellow with the Hobby School since January 2019, teaching graduate courses on analysis and modeling and supporting Hobby School research on trends in Texas, elections, legislative issues and more. Vallejo co-teaches workshops for the Data Science for Energy Transition, a multi-university summer program supported by a grant from the National Science Foundation to train college students equipped to lead in the changing energy industry.

The Buenos Aires native holds a doctorate and master's degree in political science from Rice University and a bachelor's degree in political science from Universidad de Buenos Aires in Argentina. Vallejo is also a regular contributor to the U.S. edition of La Política Online, a digital Spanish-language publication covering economic and political news.
