Career Highlights:
Peter Koelling received his Ph.D. from Northern Illinois University and his J.D. from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. He is the editor and contributing author of “The Improvement of the Administration of Justice, 8th Ed.” and has taught at Colorado State University and the University of Denver. Before joining the University of Houston in 2021 as the Master of Public Administration program director, Koelling was with the Special Tribunal for Lebanon in The Hague, where he was the chief of Court Management.
Previously, Koelling was the director and chief counsel for the Judicial Division of the American Bar Association for eight years and has been a licensed attorney for nearly 40 years. He has worked as a court administrator in various courts in Texas, Washington and Colorado. He has been honored by the State Bar of Texas as the pro bono attorney of the year and is a former Peace Corps volunteer.
