GCSW National Dean Search Timeline

The Graduate College of Social Work (GCSW) has begun its search for a new dean. Provost Diane Z. Chase appointed the GCSW Dean Search Committee in February 2024.

The committee is co-chaired by Cathy Horn, Dean of the College of Education and Elizabeth D. Rockwell Chair, and Juan Barthelemy, Associate Professor at the GCSW. The other members include:

  • Sharon Borja, Assistant Professor
  • Marcus Brown, Doctoral Student
  • Renia Butler, Communications Director
  • Robin Gearing, Professor and Director of MH-RITES Research Center
  • Virginia (Ginger) Lucas, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs
  • Amber Mollhagen, Assistant Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs
  • Jamie Parker, Clinical Associate Professor and Director of Practicum Education
  • Suzanne Pritzker, Professor of Social Work 
  • Quenette Walton, Associate Dean of Doctoral Education

Parker Executive Search, a firm specializing in higher education among other industries, is supporting this national search. Together, they will conduct all aspects of the search, including the review of applicants, initial interviews, and campus interviews. The committee will conduct interviews in a collaborative process with the college and campus community.
