RESIDENCY PROGRAM

A strong residency program is key for future doctors to gain hands-on experience. Our diverse city provides access to numerous and unique patients representing a cross-section of Texas and the United States. Along with educating the future of primary care providers, our goal is to address the shortage of medical doctors in Texas by providing means for graduates to practice in the state.

The Tilman J. Fertitta Family College of Medicine and HCA Houston Healthcare currently offer residency and fellowship programs in multiple specialties. This agreement provides the opportunity for future MDs to complete their training in nationally recognized hospitals and patient care settings, with placements in Houston and the surrounding areas.

Residencies and fellowships in the Consortium are based primarily at the Kingwood, West, Medical Center, Southeast, and Clear Lake facilities.
