About SPAC
After the first SPAC in 1985, the conference has been organized 15 times by southern and southeastern U.S. universities. The conference focuses on what has historically been called the Social and Administrative Sciences (SAS), which has recently expanded its scope to include Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR).
A primary goal of SPAC continues to be the exchange of ideas and experiences among graduate programs that share similar opportunities and challenges. Special emphasis of SPAC has always been to provide constructive learning experiences to graduate students unlike the other large conferences. In addition, SPAC allows faculty and students to share best practices to improve quality of graduate education.
SPAC 2022 is co-hosted by the UH College of Pharmacy Department of Pharmaceutical Health Outcomes and Policy and the Prescription Drug Misuse Education and Research (PREMIER) Center. This year's co-sponsors include ISPOR, the Research in Social and Administration Pharmacy (RSAP) Journal, and TriNetX.
For more information, please contact 2022 SPAC Co-chairs Susan Abughosh or Doug Thornton.
