CEDAR - Climate and Energy DATA and Assessment Resource
CEDAR - Climate and Energy DATA and Assessment Resource will overcome barriers to implementing climate risk solutions, mitigate impacts of the energy transition, target strategies to the local community, communicate risks effectively, provide innovative technologies, and engage stakeholders through workforce development, technical assistance, targeted, transparent community engagement, development of a data analytics and visualization platform, and development of customized resilience plans and shovel ready projects that will transform the Gulf Coast’s response to climate change and the energy transition. CEDAR is envisioned as a platform of resources targeted for each community based on their needs. The project partners will work with the communities interested by pre-assessing their needs and co-developing strategies with them. The team will help communities plan – this could be through development of resilience plans, green infrastructure plans, community resilience hub plan. For those communities with defined projects in mind, the platform can serve as a resource to transform those ideas into shovel-ready projects. We can help communities that are under resourced by providing support and identifying incentives or vetting prospective contractors.
